Turfcare WA is seeking applications from dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Course Superintendent at Marangaroo Public Golf Course. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in the continued growth and development within the facilities management division of the business, answering to the Contracts and Construction Manager.

The Course Superintendent is charged with the responsibility of maintaining the course’s current excellent condition, as well as maintaining the area surrounding the clubhouse, car parks and course boundaries. The department is responsible for doing the above safely within budgetary guidelines and in an environmentally friendly manner.

Core responsibilities:
• Develop and implement annual maintenance programs which will achieve the quality required in line with the annual budget.
• Regularly train employees in golf course management best practices including all relevant minimum requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Laws.
• Develop and manage annual golf course budgets.
• Maintain complete records relating to the golf courses maintenance activities including labour, machinery, chemical and fertiliser applications, maintenance procedures, irrigation/weather records and inventory; and submit reports as required as part of the contract.
• Be responsible for communication within department and maintaining a professional manner at all times.

Key attributes:
• A hands-on leader that gets involved within a small team.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar type of role and facility.
• minimum of 5 years’ experience on golf courses in Western Australia growing conditions.
• Personal, approachable with excellent communication skills.
• The appropriate level of trade qualifications required for the role.
• Experience with industry and environmental best practices.
