Midlands Golf Club (Midlands-Ballarat RSL Sports and Services Club) is seeking an experienced Course Superintendent on a Full Time basis to join our team as the Club embarks on an exciting period of transition.


With the sale of excess land, major renovations and the development of the precinct, this role will provide both an exciting and rewarding opportunity.


Midlands Golf Club is a popular sporting and social club with facilities including Golf, Bowls, Family

Bistro, Bar, Gaming Room and Function Facilities.


Reporting to the General Manager the successful applicant should have experience in all aspects of turf management and ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.


Skills and Requirements:


  • Responsible for maintenance, operation and management of all club grounds

  • A genuine passion for greens keeping (Golf & Bowls)

  • Knowledge and experience with irrigation maintenance and repairs

  • Knowledge and experience in identifying pest and disease in turf

  • Knowledge and practice relating to course chemicals

  • Practical mechanical knowledge

  • Ability to coordinate, plan and execute workflow activities

  • Develop and oversee an asset maintenance program

  • Be willing to learn and improve on knowledge base

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Energetic, honest and reliable with a commitment to a team culture

  • Supervision and management of a small team of staff

  • Excellent organisational skills including problem solving, planning, prioritising, costing and budgeting

  • Current drivers licence
