The Vines Resort and Country Club on the outskirts of Perth, WA has appointed Brad Pavlinovich (pictured) to the role of golf course superintendent effective immediately. Pavlinovich started his tenure at the resort in 1996, commencing an apprenticeship when he was 16 years old, and has worked at the club for the past 22 years.
Pavlinovich, who spent the past 10 years as assistant superintendent to Dion Warr, now takes charge of a team of 20 which maintains two 18-hole championship courses – the Lakes and Ellensbrook courses – that are spread over 100 hectares surrounding the resort. The Vines greenkeeping team is now led by two men who started their apprenticeship at The Vines, giving them great local course and tournament history knowledge.
Pavlinovich was born and bred in the Swan Valley, where The Vines Resort resides, and still lives locally. In addition to his role at The Vines, he also owns a vineyard in the local region, growing table grapes.
