2020 Future Turf Managers’ Initiative Launched

Sunday 15, Sep 2019

As announced in last week's edition of The Cut, the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2020 Future Turf Managers’ Initiative (FTMI), presented in conjunction with Gold Partner Jacobsen.

This will be the fifth year the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association and Jacobsen have partnered to provide this hugely beneficial programme, one which provides up and coming Sports Turf Managers from across the industry a fantastic opportunity to further their skills and advance their careers.  As part of the FTMI program, flights, accomodation and meals are all included in this invaluable education opportunity for the next generation of Turf Managers.

The 2020 FTMI, to be held from 15-17 March, will again see candidates from Australia and New Zealand meet in Melbourne, with participants and mentors sharing an intense 2.5 days together to hone communication, leadership and management skills.

The only eligibility criteria to apply for the FTMI are:

  • Be a current AGCSA full or standard member;
  • Have at least three years’ experience working full-time in the sports turf management industry;
  • Currently employed in the sport turf management industry;

Applications for the 2020 Future Turf Managers’ Initiative close on Sunday 27th October and successful candidates for FTMI 2020 will be announced in December.
