The AGCSA is excited to be staging the 32nd Australian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Exhibition at The Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne. The unavailability of the Melbourne Convention Centre has given us the opportunity to host the 2016 Melbourne conference in within metres of the Trade Exhibition. This accompanied with The Crowns state of the art and on-site conference, exhibition, accommodation and social facilitaties ensures this will be a another great event.
The four day education programme will again kick off with the full day Jacobsen workshop on Monday 20 June. These will again feature both an Agronomic and Management topic. Tuesday June 21 sees a the traditional plenary full day of sessions before delegates break off into either dedicated Golf, Sportsfield or Technician streams on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 June.
All delegates can also take advantage of some of the specialised workshops that will run concurrently to various streams. These need to be registered for individually however are included in the full delegate registration price.
Social Functions will include the AGCSA Golf Championships to be held Sunday June 19, 25th Anniversary Dinner to be held on Monday June 20 and the Farewell Bash to be held on Thursday 23.
The Australian Turfgrass Conference has recently lost $40,000 in government funding and has been forced to increase registration costs as a result. We have endeavoured to keep the increase to a minimum and to assist are offering clubs and organisations who register multiple delegates the following discounts:
$2000 = 10% Discount
$2500 = 15% Discount
$3000 = 20% Discount

At the conclusion of the Hunter Valley conference it was announced that the 32nd Australian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Exhibition will return to Melbourne from 19-24 June 2016. In a change from past conferences in Melbourne, the Crown Palladium will play host for the week. Further details regarding the 2016 conference will be made available through the AGCSA website and in The Cut as they come to hand.
