An exciting position has become available at Spring Valley Golf Club for the position of Course Foreman.
As Course Foreman you will work closely with the Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in all facets of the maintenance of the golf course including future planning, daily job planning, irrigation scheduling and staff management.
The successful applicant should have a good work ethic and a positive mindset, with the ability to lead staff in group projects, supervise apprentices and volunteers and also work autonomously with good problem solving skills.
The successful applicant should have a good, well-rounded skillset in all facets of turf management including the use of different types of machinery (Excavator and Skid steer experience is a plus), a range of different mowers and tractors as well as good knowledge and practical experience with chemical and fertiliser application, particularly use of a Toro Multipro.
Other desirable attributes would be a sound knowledge of small irrigation repairs- particularly Toro sprinklers, poly-pipe irrigation, hydraulic irrigation systems and the Toro Lynx software.
Applicants should possess the following as a minimum
- Certificate III in Turf Management (Desire to undertake the Diploma is favourable to this application).
- Current Victorian Driver’s License.
- Availability to work rostered overtime both midweek, weekends and public holidays.
- Strong reliability and punctuality.
