Re-live 2012 conference through AGCSA webcasts
Delegates to the recent 28th Australian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Exhibition were last week sent an email containing a link to all webcasts which were recorded during the week in Melbourne.
A total of 29 presentations – including all Plenary, Golf, Sportsfield, Agronomic and Management stream sessions – were recorded totalling more than 26 hours worth of education. Each webcast contains footage of the presenter as well as their PowerPoint presentation. Among the webcasts delegates can view are:
-
Dr Frank Rossi’s three presentations on sustainable turf management programmes, resource efficient sportsturf management and organically/biologically based cultural and pest management programmes;
-
AFL great Wayne Schwass’s superb keynote address on mental health issues;
-
Sharon Kaibel’s two presentations on behavioural profiling and presentation skills;
-
Manly Golf Club superintendent Michael Bradbery’s look at the massive reconstruction project at the Sydney course;
-
The Sportsfield Stream’s End Users Forum conducted by Melbourne Olympic Parks Trust horticulture manager Adrian Black and the cricket wicket open forum conducted by Cameron Sutherland which also featured Marcus Pamplin (Bellerive Oval), Brett Sipthorpe (Westpac Stadium, NZ) and Damian Hough (Adelaide Oval);
-
Robin Doodson and Nadeem Zreikat’s social media workshop;
-
And many, many more....
Since being sent out last week there have been more than 290 webcast downloads amounting to more than 65 hours worth of footage viewed. For those who did not attend the conference but are interested in viewing any or all of the conference sessions, please contact AGCSA events and education manager Simone Staples to find out download costs.
Please note: The email sent to delegates also contained a link to view the webcasts on smartphone and tablet devices. Despite some initial software issues, this link is now working, however iPhone users will need to download the free MediaSite app (you will be prompted to do so) in order to view the presentations - iPad users don't require the app.
