Royal Pines groundsman recovers after accident
The quick-thinking actions of RACV Royal Pines Resort course maintenance staff have potentially saved the life of a colleague following an on course accident recently. RACV Royal Pines groundsman Tim Palmer was working with two other staff members cutting rough when the zero turn mower he was operating careered out of control into one of the resort's lakes. Palmer was pinned by the mower under water for more than a minute before being pulled out by his crewmates and two builders working on an adjacent building site.
The AGCSA has been in contact with RACV Royal Pines course superintendent Paul McLean who informs The Cut that Tim is now at home recovering with his family after a brief stay in hospital. The AGCSA joins with the GCSAQ in sending its best wishes to Tim and his family at this time and hopes he has a speedy recovery.
