McLean joins GCSAQ general committee
Paul McLean is the new face on the GCSAQ committee following the association’s Annual General Meeting held last week at Coolangatta and Tweed Heads Golf Club. The RACV Royal Pines Resort superintendent and AGCSA member was voted on to the general committee alongside Charlie Giffard, Brent Robinson and Ben Tilley. Stepping off the committee were Peter Smith (Tewantin Noosa GC) and Ben Cavanagh (Brisbane GC). The GCSAQ executive was unchanged with Peter Lonergan remaining at the helm for the next 12 months. McLean celebrated his elevation to the committee by taking out the A Grade golf title, beating home Smith. Other golf winners were Robinson (B Grade), Maclean Golf Club superintendent Pat Day (C Grade) and Robert Apanui (Northern Rivers Rural Buying) who won the trade trophy.
