Simon Bourne Charity Golf Day - 3 September 2010

 

Cottesloe Golf Club in Perth will host the Simon Bourne Charity Golf Day to help raise further funds for their injured course superintendent. Registrations are now being taken for the day which will be held on Friday 3 September and all turfies and industry companies are encouraged to support the event. The day will kick off with registration at 10.30am with an 11.30am shotgun start. Teams for four can register for the Ambrose tournament, with a maximum of 36 teams allowed. A team of four will cost $600 which includes golf, all food and beverages, cocktail party and presentation function.

Following the golf, at 6pm a cocktail party will be held while an auction will also be conducted to raise further funds to assist Simon and his family as they get their lives back on track following February’s accident. Turf industry companies and members of the turf industry who wish to donate an item for auction can contact GCSAWA president Darren Wilson on 0411 310 511 or email gcsawa@bigpond.com. With more than 1000 turning up for the Bourne Family charity night at the Perth Convention Centre in May, this golf day is set to be booked out quick so be sure to get in early.
