AGCSA Launches 2009 Conference Trade Exhibition

The AGCSA has officially launched the 25th Australian Turfgrass Conference Trade exhibition and within a couple of hours of booths going on sale yesterday (Monday 20 October) over half (21 of 37) had been snapped up already.

The trade exhibition will form part of 2009 conference which will be held at Wrest Point in Hobart between 13-17 July. The trade exhibition will be a similar format to the Cairns and Moama ‘regional’ conferences. Thirty-seven booths measuring 3m x 2.5m are available and those exhibitors who attended the 2008 conference were able to register their interest from 20 October (companies that didn’t exhibit in 2008 but want to register for 2009 will have to wait until 1 January 2009 when booths go on general sale).

Around 30 companies which exhibited at the 24th Australian Turfgrass Conference in Melbourne attended last week's launch at Kingston Links Golf Course, which also included a feedback session on the 2008 event and brainstorming session for future exhibitions. Among some of the ideas discussed were:

  • Providing incentives for people to visit the trade exhibition (ie: giveaways and prizes)
  • Incorporating the trade exhibition as part of the conference welcome reception
