The main responsibility of this position will be maintaining the golf course machinery and equipment for the Cape Schanck resort. This includes carrying out the day-to-day activities to ensure the appropriate quality and level of service to fellow colleagues, members and guests is maintained, and includes the following:

• Maintain all machinery and equipment at a level that allows the course to be presented at its best at all times.
• Assist with grounds presentation by mowing and other associated duties.
• Maintain workshop areas and store rooms in clean and tidy manner and maintain tools in working condition.
• Participating in the development and implementation of a “preventative” maintenance program.
• Assist in the resolution of potential OH&S issues.
• Working together with internal maintenance staff and external contractors to carry out maintenance tasks.

The successful applicant will possess a strong knowledge of OH&S systems, an understanding of a variety of maintenance equipment and tasks including hydraulic systems, cylindrical mower systems, and diesel/petrol mowers. A mechanical qualification is essential, with experience in turf machinery highly regarded.
