International Turf and Landscape Coordinator Roles: Middle East
Our client is a new sports facility in the heart of the Middle East - Qatar and a showpiece in the world of sport. This facility/arena is now poised to become a leader in the sports industry internationally, and is set to attract global acclaim. Due to ongoing development and the long term nature of this venue's appeal and positioning, we are seeking to appoint a sports turf coordinator and landscape coordinator. Reporting to the manager, sports turf and landscapes, both roles will be responsible for managing a multitude of venues surfaces within this world class 250ha precinct. Including: An international stadium with seating for 50,000, an international athletics track, and a variety of other venues and landscapes. You will have experience maintaining high use facilities, contract management, budgeting and forecasting as well as staff supervision/management and training. The successful applicant for the turf coordinator role will possess turfgrass management qualifications, demonstrated "hands-on" experience within the sector, be results oriented and highly motivated to succeed. Experience in warm-season grasses management is essential. The successful applicant for the landscape coordinator role will have qualifications in horticulture from an accredited institution and previous supervisor experience. You will also contribute to the preparation of a landscape management plan, and coordinate with the maintenance support division and maintenance program, to ensure health and presentation standards of the landscapes in the various locations are adhered to by continually inspecting and reporting the work done by the contractor manpower on facilities. For both roles the ability to deal with staff at all levels of an organisation and assimilate quickly to a new environment will be paramount to your success. Summer Interns: Sweden
I am looking for two summer interns to come and work in Sweden. I am Head Greenkeeper of an 18 hole parkland course just outside of Stockholm. All potential candidates should have some experience of golf course practices. Positions are available in April and will be for a duration no longer than 6 months. Rates of pay will be decided based on skill and experience but will be between 2500 and 2800AUD per month. Uniform and accommodation will be provided.
