Every year the AGCSA rewards excellence in the golf course maintenance industry at its awards ceremony held during the Australian Turfgrass Conference. The AGCSA Awards represent the ultimate in recognition for members of the industry and in turn provides the perfect opportunity for the industry to collectively honour its outstanding achievers. The awards are:

AGCSA Distinguished Service Award
Presented in partnership with Scotts Australia

AGCSA Claude Crockford Environmental Award
Presented in partnership with Syngenta

AGCSA Excellence in Golf Course Management Award
Presented in partnership with John Deere

AGCSA Graduate of the Year Award
Presented in partnership with Toro Australia

Nominations are now being sought for the 2008 AGCSA Awards, which will be officially presented during the President's Dinner held as part of the 24th Australian Turfgrass Conference in Melbourne (21-25 July, 2008). Nominations are not required for the AGCSA Graduate of the Year award, as finalists come through the various state association graduate programmes.

For those wishing to nominate a peer, employee or mentor, we ask you fill out the nomination form, which can be accessed by clicking on the link below, and send it with all the required information to the AGCSA by close of business Friday 2 May, 2008. Please note ALL nominations must be signed by a current AGCSA member.

The finalists in each category will be contacted and then flown to Melbourne (expenses paid) where they will give a detailed presentation to an independent panel of judges. Winners will be contacted and arrangements made for them to attend the 24th Australian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Exhibition. Winners will be provided with flights, four nights' accommodation, full conference registration, Welcome Reception and President's Dinner tickets.

The AGCSA would like to acknowledge the great support of award sponsors Scotts Australia, John Deere, Syngenta and Toro for their ongoing involvement in helping the AGCSA honour the turf industry's outstanding achievers.
