AGCSATech

In 2000, the AGCSA decided to form its own agronomic wing to provide members with expert diagnostic and analytical services. AGCSATech, originally formed by one of Australia's most respected agronomists John Neylan, is now fronted by highly experienced senior agronomist Andrew Peart, who has been with the AGCSA since 2002, and long-standing former Victorian course superintendent John Geary who came on board as environmental agronomist in October 2008.

Over the past 13 years  AGCSATech has grown to become one the foremost providers of agronomic services to the Australasian turfgrass industry. Its reputation has also grown worldwide and a number of golf courses in the Middle East and the South East Asia regions now call upon AGCSATech to provide agronomic advice.

AGCSATech is a self-funding division of the AGCSA and funds generated through the provision of its services is put back into dedicated turf management research projects directed at providing independent data and solutions to some of the most important problems confronting superintendents. Click here to view past research work and list of current projects.

The addition of research, diagnostic and advisory services to the existing range of AGCSA support services, strengthens the association's long-term viability and achieves economies of scale across all operational areas of the organisation.

The research and technical/advisory services provided include:

  • Soil nutrient and soil physical analysis
  • Plant tissue analysis
  • Disease and pest identification
  • Nematode identification
  • Water analysis
  • Turf advisory and project management
  • Contract and industry funded research.

AGCSA members can take advantage of an exclusive 20 per cent discount on all analytical services such as soil nutrient and soil physical tests and disease and pest diagnosis.
