AGCSA Board
President
Allan Devlin (Secret Harbour Golf Club, WA)
Profile: Born and bred in the United Kingdom, Allan is an ex-professional golfer who turned to greenkeeping in 1978. After a few lean years as a tournament pro and not wanting to pursue the club pro life, he became very interested in turf management. Starting his career at Dunwood Manor Golf Club, he emigrated to Australia in 1987 and after nine months secured the superintendents position at the new Burswood Resort Casino in Perth. In 1994 he moved to Secret Harbour, a new golf course development under construction by Graham Marsh, a position he still holds today. After several years on the GCSAWA committee, including three as president, Allan became an AGCSA board director in 2005 and replaced Jeff Gambin as AGCSA president at the 2008 AGM.
